Maldives - The Beautiful. The Stunning. The Impressive. It captured my heart and soul in ways I've never ever experienced before. Truly magnificent. A return is a must. 🙏

A place that's really earned its comparison to paradise.

A place where there's nothing not to love.

A place, different than any other and captured my heart in a way i can't even begin to comprehend.

Maldives, happened on a whim. It was never planned. I had barely 2 weeks to do my research before landing in Male.

Did just enough reading (to ensure a wholesome trip, also the control freak in me needing enough details to know just what we're getting into), in my in-betweens times. We had no expectations as we definitely didn't plan for one of those luxury resort stays; preferring instead to go around the local islands, engaging in the local culture, and doing some cool excursions offered.

We saw what we wanted to see. The natural walkway of Maldives was definitely the highlight of this trip.

The natural walkway in the Maldives. I have just no words for it. When we reached, i literally screamed with joy and i was sobbing and held back my tears for fear of ruining beautiful photos. NO.ONE.ELSE was around.

The natural walkway wouldn't be in any of the excursions offered in the usual island activities. I stumbled upon an outrageously beautiful photo of it amidst my readings of Maldives, saved it in my folder and here, we asked around if there's any way we could go. And we did, for just 35usd per jet ski including the guide.

It was a mere 30mins experience, but it didn't just make my day. It could have very well been the highlight of my year, so far that is.

I cried, i never did feel this way about any place I've been in my life. I thought, "This, this was Paradise on earth."

And, the blue light planktons that we were able to witness on our last night in Maafushi. It was pure joy, a natural wonder of the world I'd say. Imagine this; electric blue colored tiny spots that came with the slow waves onto the shores, expanding subtly in size appearing like a dancing small circle in the darkness of the night on the beach. Put them on our hands, played with them..put them back in the seas and on the sands. Tiny specks of microscopic organisms that exude such magnificence. I wish i could've captured the whole thing on camera, but it's something only the eyes can witness i guess.

I love it. I love just everything here ❤
